I painted this, green tones
Reflecting through
A sparkle daring to stare though the paint
Upon a leaf transparent
The last raindrop
Slowly shrinking
In anticipation
The sun’s first rays waiting in the wings
It’s difficult
To capture the sweet moment
When birds are quiet
And night things finish their business
