Conto infantil ‘O Natal iluminado da Vekinha’
Era uma vez, na amada Rua do Sapo — cercada por cafezais, mangueirais e um perfume doce de terra molhada — que a pequena Vekinha aguardava ansiosa pela noite de Natal.
Ela sabia que aquela data celebrava o nascimento do Menino Jesus, e seu coração se enchia de ternura cada vez que ouvia a história da estrela que guiou os três reis magos até a manjedoura. Para Vekinha, o Natal era mais do que presentes: era o momento mágico em que a família se aproximava um pouco mais, depois de um ano inteiro de muito trabalho.
Quando dezembro chegava, tios, primos, avós e vizinhos passavam a andar mais devagar, como se o espírito natalino soprado pelo vento lembrasse a todos que nascer — assim como Jesus nasceu — é sempre motivo para comemorar.
E Vekinha amava comemorar. Amava ainda mais fazer as pessoas sorrirem.
Por isso, naquela tarde serena, ela escreveu uma carta para o Papai Noel. Acreditava, do fundo do coração, que o bom velhinho era uma forma carinhosa do Papai do Céu visitar as crianças. E por isso fez seus pedidos com toda a pureza do mundo.
A carta de Vekinha
“Querido Papai Noel,
Nesta véspera de Natal, eu gostaria de pedir um presente especial. Mas não quero escolher — quero surpresa! Um presente que me faça muito feliz.
Não tenho lista… Na verdade, só preciso que o senhor traga minha família inteira para alegrar o meu Natal. Que meus tios, priminhos e meus irmãos estejam todos comigo.
Queria que a vovó Cirene trouxesse doce de leite, cocada e pé de moleque. Que a tia Tonha trouxesse rapadura e fizesse puxa-puxa para todos nós.
Queria também que a mamãe preparasse quibe cru, porque nunca pode faltar, já que não temos dinheiro para comprar peru.
Ah, e eu queria tanto tomar Guaraná Antarctica… o senhor sabe o quanto eu amo Guaraná.
Acho que pedi tudo. Mas, se eu tiver esquecido de alguma coisa, sei que o senhor conhece meu coração.
Ah, Papai Noel, preciso lhe contar uma coisa incrível…
Este ano nossa cidade recebeu um presente especial! Nosso prefeito, Dr. Giovanni, buscou recursos e, com a ajuda dos artistas e moradores, deixou a cidade inteira iluminada. A mamãe e o papai prometeram nos levar para conhecer sua casinha de Noel.
Dizem que o coreto tem um trenó enorme e que o senhor está lá, esperando o momento certo de espalhar presentes e amor por toda a cidade!
Meu tio Jadir comprou alguns presentes para nós, e sei que será algo muito especial. Ele sempre acerta.
Termino pedindo que todas as crianças da nossa cidade — e do mundo — sejam muito amadas.
Até o Natal, espero tirar uma foto no seu trenó.

Ao terminar a carta, Vekinha correu para a sala, radiante. Já imaginava como seria a praça iluminada. Mal podia esperar para ver tudo de perto!
— Mamãe, vamos agora? Eu tô tão ansiosa! — disse, quase pulando.
A mãe sorriu e perguntou:
— Filha, o que você gostaria de ganhar neste Natal?
— Ah, mamãe… é segredo! Já contei tudo para o Papai Noel. Deixei a carta no meu sapatinho, na janela, como o papai ensinou.
Dona Conceição ficou curiosa, mas respeitou o mistério, sabendo que o papai também esperava o momento certo para espiar aquela cartinha cheia de amor.
Naquela noite, a família inteira saiu para ver a cidade iluminada. A praça estava mágica, brilhante como nunca antes. Havia renas, bonecos de neve, carinhas simpáticas, um balão para fotos e o grande presépio, onde Vekinha fez uma pequena oração ao ver José, Maria e o Menino Jesus na manjedoura.
O trenó no coreto parecia ter vindo diretamente do Polo Norte. Fotógrafos ajudavam as famílias a registrarem a magia para sempre. Caratinga estava tão linda que até turistas vieram de longe para ver o brilho daquele Natal.
Depois de caminhar encantada, a família tomou um lanche no Bob’s e voltou para casa, com o coração feliz e a alma leve.
A véspera encantada
Todos colocaram seus sapatinhos com cartinhas na janela. E, quando dormiram, Papai Noel — silencioso como o vento — leu cada pedido com carinho.
Na manhã seguinte, as cartas haviam sumido. Os sapatinhos continuavam lá, mas agora a magia tinha começado. Faltavam apenas algumas horas para o presente chegar.
À noite, a casa se encheu: tio Jadir, vovó com seus doces, vovô com sua bengala de martelo, tia Tonha com o puxa-puxa e tantos outros amigos. O Natal brilhou em cada sorriso.
Depois da ceia, todos foram dormir ansiosos.
Vekinha adormeceu abraçada à boneca Papinha que ganhou do tio Jadir. Sonhou com estrelas, trenós e risadas suaves de anjos.
Até que…
O galo cantou. Quatro horas da manhã.
Vekinha saltou da cama, correu à janela e lá estavam: seus presentes e os dos irmãos, todos no lugar dos sapatinhos.
Ela abriu o dela e encontrou uma boneca igualzinha a ela — até o nome era Vekinha! Feita com tanto carinho que parecia ter sido moldada pelo próprio espírito do Natal.
Vekinha cantou feliz:
“Deixei meu sapatinho
na janela do quintal…
Papai Noel deixou
meu presente de Natal…”
Os irmãos acordaram com o canto e correram para ver os próprios presentes. Cada um recebeu exatamente o que havia pedido.
E assim, entre abraços, risos e cantorias, nasceu o Natal mais iluminado da vida de Vekinha.
