The drop of water fell from somewhere, it is not clear where. Maybe from the roof of some of the houses that go up to the edge of the sidewalk, or from the window frames of some house or larger building …

Welcomed by the breeze that hung at the time of her fall, she moved freely in a unique adventure, in which she could end her journey anywhere, such as a wall, a window, a flowered vase, a passerby, in short, her destination was at the mercy of luck, who dictated his way through the space filled by the breeze, people and many objects.

Apparently insignificant, its tiny measurements carry greater importance than we can imagine. This drop of water has unique characteristics, such as its molecular composition, density, origin, particles and microscopic beings attached to it and also its potential to generate life …

Supposedly inanimate, without will or personality, the drop of water transmits a superficial image to us, even though we can see it through its substance. More valuable than any other organic element, an inexhaustible source of life for all beings on the planet, it is not always well received by people who, on numerous occasions, have treated it with disdain and made it the recipient of waste, refuse and garbage. produced by our species.

The drop of water, however, travels the most diverse paths and always reaches a destination or purpose. Even when it is dammed it does not lose its strength or surrender to our whims: if we do not take care of it, every drop will return to us all the fury contained in the most serious forms, such as torrential storms, floods, breaking barriers, bridges, highways, etc. The drop of water has more dammed force than we imagine …

When it falls on our heads it does little to our detriment or benefit; but, when countless, they plumm enough volume to wash our bodies – and our souls !!! Several religions use it for baptism, for diving in the waters of rivers – or swimming pools – or for the ritual of sprinkling drops. In any case, the drop of water, alone or together, has the purpose of purifying the new being that came into the world.

They can also cause illness, such as flu or pneumonia … Solitary, the drop of water is helpless; but, when grouped with others, it makes us defenseless and at the mercy of the power it has acquired, both to favor us and to destroy us …

Over the countless drops of water the most diverse vessels sail, from boats, kayaks and canoes to the largest ocean liners in the world and heavily armed military ships, which tear the seas and oceans and leave behind the wake wherever they go.

Under the surface of the seas and oceans live the most diverse marine species, which populate them with their colors and others, which with their own lights illuminate the depths …

Finally, the last straw of this chronicle ended its journey by falling into a puddle of dirty water, crawling and trampled by the thousands of feet and paws. Sad end to such a valuable source of life …
