Programas Públicos da 22ª edição reúnem até fevereiro nomes como Ayrson Heráclito, Ava Rocha, Carlos Nader, Eder Santos, Naine Terena, Rivane Neuenschwander e Vincent Carelli para refletir sobre o tema curatorial “A memória é uma ilha de edição”
A 22ª Bienal Sesc_Videobrasil promove até fevereiro duas exposições e os Programas Públicos, uma série de conversas abertas ligadas aos temas da edição, intitulada A memória é uma ilha de edição. Iniciada com a abertura da bienal, em outubro, a programação curada pela queniana Renée Akitelek Mboya reúne importantes artistas visuais ligados à trajetória do Videobrasil, que completa 40 anos, além de curadores e outros pensadores da cultura no Brasil.
Inspirada no verso de Waly Salomão (1943-2003) retirado do poema Carta aberta a John Ashbery, de 1996, a bienal apresenta no Sesc 24 de Maio uma exposição principal, com 60 artistas e coletivos contemporâneos do Sul Global sob curadoria de Raphael Fonseca, além da mostra paralela Especial 40 anos, curada por Alessandra Bergamaschi e Eduardo de Jesus.
“Assim como Waly Salomão, priorizamos a colaboração com foco em convocações, propostas e ativações que promovam a integração entre diferentes perfis e gerações de público, convidados e equipes envolvidas na realização da exposição, ampliando o pensamento em torno de estratégias e histórias coletivas”, afirma a diretora artística Solange Oliveira Farkas.
Para Juliana Braga, gerente de Artes Visuais e Tecnologia no Sesc São Paulo, os Programas Públicos constituem um pilar fundamental para a atuação da instituição no campo das exposições. “O trabalho das equipes educativas e a oferta de programações públicas são, sobretudo, valiosas oportunidades para ampliar reflexões críticas e debater ideias possíveis a partir das obras e curadorias.”
Ainda valorizando e ressignificando a história do Videobrasil, os debates e conversas ocupam o espaço da mostra Especial 40 anos, na biblioteca do 4º andar do Sesc 24 de Maio. O local será o ponto de encontro para pensar o presente da bienal e ativar as memórias a partir do vasto acervo de videoarte e artes visuais criado com obras de gerações anteriores, que ressoam até hoje.
Segundo a curadora Renée Akitelek Mboya, “a ideia de criar uma programação que tente ser o mais ampla possível, em termos de linguagens, veio da tentativa de reproduzir os impulsos iniciais que Solange e seus colaboradores tiveram quando montaram a primeira exposição na qual introduziram novos vernáculos políticos, novas formas de falar, de ver e de ser, que se estendiam para além de tudo o que a elite política tinha estabelecido ou imposto à sociedade”.
Os programas públicos contarão, para além das mesas, com as “Vivências” – experiências de imersão realizadas pelos artistas Moisés Patrício, Naine Terena, aarea e Ava Rocha a convite da Bienal Sesc_Videobrasil. Eles apresentam ao público, um artista a cada mês, os resultados de suas experiências na exposição principal.
