‘Entrevista com o escritor Kosovar Vilson Culaj’
Entre memória e esperança, a literatura ergue sua voz como ponte entre povos e tempos. Vilson Culaj, escritor kosovar, constrói sua obra a partir das brasas da experiência humana, tecendo narrativas que dialogam com a história, a identidade do seu povo.

1 – Conte-nos sobre sua trajetória de vida. Família, labor, sonhos.
VC – Eu nasci em 06 agosto de 1973 em uma cidade chamada Klinë, localizada no noroeste do Kosovo. Sou casado com Liza Radi Culaj, a mulher que completa minha vida em todas as dimensões espirituais, intelectuais e meu espaço literário e de socialização.
Do fruto do nosso amor, temos três filhos Beatrice, Eliente e Nikolla, todos os três concluíram os estudos e trabalham em Pristina em suas respectivas profissões. Beatrice – jornalista de TV, Elienta designer profissional e Nikolla trabalha em uma empresa americana de Ciência da Computação.
Atualmente trabalho como secretário em uma escola primária com 1.500 alunos e 75 professores, exigindo um trabalho administrativo dedicado e um tato e cortesia sublimes.
Quanto aos sonhos, tenho apenas um sonho: acordar do sonho e realizar minha vida profissional, literária, familiar, e ser uma luz para as gerações mais jovens graças às capacidades que possuo.
2 – Como surgiu sua vocação literária e quais influências marcaram sua trajetória?
VC – Certa vez, em um verso meu, expressei risos, a vida é um chamado como um sino. Nesta disputa, quero dizer que as crianças que crescem com um dos pais longe, mas não separados, têm uma sede mística pela causa da vida e dos vazios emocionais (o meu pai permaneceu na Alemanha por razões econômicas durante 35 anos).
A partir daí iniciei a busca pela minha vida espiritual, indagando o “porque existencial” num mergulho em dimensões espirituais, por vezes místicas.
Quando acrescentamos essas coisas à cultura maratonista da leitura, acredito estar no caminho correto para cumprir minha missão literária na construção e realização de minha história pessoal.
Meu chamado literário não tem a gênese do romantismo, do Eros ou do Thanatos, mas do Biofil, da harmonia, da paz (amor, existência e filantropia), contudo nas travessias das provações para que o homem visionário, conhecedor e valioso possa ser posto em ação como guia e se tornar o guardião das orientações do novo para as nações e para o mundo.
A vida me ensinou que, o ignorante é o travesseiro do diabo.
Então vamos pedir um outro tipo de homem no mundo iluminado que não ande nas trevas.
3 – O que o inspirou a escrever A Fornalha de Nabucodonosor?
VC – Na vida, o evento deve acontecer, caso contrário, como poderíamos entender a lei da quebra no mar ‘’ Certa vez refleti em um versículo meu. E como a vida é paz e tempestade, aos 25 anos, vivi a última guerra no Kosovo, tal como os meus antepassados viveram.
Na vida, o acontecimento precisa ocorrer; caso contrário, como poderíamos compreender a lei da ruptura no mar, refletida outrora em um de meus versos. Observei que a vida é feita de paz e tempestade, aos 25 anos vivi a última guerra no Kosovo, assim como a viveram meus antepassados diante do mesmo inimigo antigo.
Negar a um povo 2.000 anos de história, existência e direito natural e expulsar o povo de Israel para além das suas fronteiras naturais, tal como fez outrora o Rei Nabucodonosor, não havia outra forma de acontecer nem outra maneira para que eu começasse um romance e colocasse esses dramas coletivos e nacionais no papel.
É o fogo e o forno que queimam, mas não extinguem o ser descrito neste romance, como Ester de época, aqui se realiza o sacrifício da mulher albanesa, que a partir da tragédia se transformou em uma mensagem histórica da sobrevivência de um povo esquecido pelos mapas antigos.
4 – Por que escolheu Nabucodonosor como símbolo central da obra?
VC – Deve haver um tirano para falar sobre os dramas de uma nação inocente como o povo albanês. Nabucodonosor foi a metáfora literária e o protótipo do líder sérvio Milosevic, que, alimentado pelo ódio nacional e ideológico e pela síndrome do colapso, negou tudo o que era albanês, até atos genocidas, homicídio cultural, religioso, étnico e existência.
A última mensagem deste romance é a metáfora de que, se um povo não repetir sua trágica história, ele deve primeiro estar ciente de sua origem, da liberdade conquistada, do sacrifício ao longo dos séculos e do sangramento para se integrar aos povos livres do mundo.
E a mensagem aos tiranos é que na história do mundo eles não o ditam, mas sim, o plano Divino de Deus e o direito natural de existir.
5 – Conte-nos sobre suas obras literárias, poética.
VC – Como qualquer jovem, comecei com poesia ou com a primeira obra, “Sons Inéditos” que foi extremamente bem recebida pelos leitores. Foi um bom sinal de que eu tinha um sistema organizado de ideias e grandes inspirações para continuar a maratona literária após essa publicação.
Os acontecimentos recentes da guerra me impulsionaram para novas inspirações e publiquei o romance, “Forno de Nabucodonosor”, para chegar ao livro de poemas, DAHO & VE ‘’ que na quebra simbólica da mensagem expõe o amor horizontal e pessoal.
Portanto, o amor a Deus e ao homem, onde ambos juntos dão o sinal de salvação e felicidade interpessoal. O quarto livro é uma antologia poética, “Partida Desfeita”, dedicada ao conhecido escritor infantil Rifat Kukaj, que foi extremamente bem recebida pelos leitores.
O quinto livro é uma curta prosa psicológica, “Tempestade Adormecida”, sobre a qual dezenas de críticas e análises literárias foram escritas.
Estou convencido de que o romance, “Os Excluídos”’, no qual trabalhei por 14 anos, é meu auge literário porque cerca de 25 críticas literárias foram escritas sobre ele e grandes promoções foram feitas, incluindo Pristina, Shkodra e Tirana, onde este romance ganhou em 2015 o prêmio literário de romance do ano.
O livro poético, “Duas Vezes” segundo a crítica literária é um hino literário e poético e ainda circulam opiniões e debates sobre os valores artísticos deste livro.
Depois publiquei o romance, “Amor Intocável”, ganhador de dois prêmios literários, incluindo um prestigioso prêmio, “Dom Ndre Mjeda” em Tirana, compartilhado pela Academia Literária em Mirdita, publiquei o livro poético “O Muro da Memória”, que foi comtemplado com muitas avaliações e críticas literárias.
Minha maratona literária foi precedida pela antologia e livro de estudos,” No Reino Poético de ´ ZEJNULLAH HALIL ‘’, livro que conquistou a opinião e a mídia por seus valores literários, seguido por dois livros com críticas literárias: volume 1- A Luz do Conhecimento”, que inclui 63 análises literárias de minha parte para nomes eminentes da literatura albanesa, volume 2: A Luz do conhecimento composto de 50 críticas literárias de outros críticos e da minha literatura pessoal.
Em 10 de janeiro de 2026 foi publicado o romance histórico, 7 DIAS À MESA COM MONSENHOR. MARK SOPIN ‘’ uma figura clerical emblemática, abordagem humana e diplomática.
Amigo próximo do presidente Ibrahim Rugova e filantropo sem excelência. Este romance foi promovido no salão cultural Pogdani Polis, localizado no edifício da Catedral de Madre Teresa, em Pristina, na presença de um número extremamente grande de participantes e intelectuais proeminentes do Kosovo e da Albânia.
6 – Como a história e a identidade kosovar atravessam sua narrativa?
VC – Penso, logo, existo, segundo Descartes, mas não pretendo atingir as alturas literárias apenas mediante emoções, experiências pessoais e sociais, racionalismo etc., mas por meio de um espiritismo expresso e de uma intuição sociológica e histórica que me chama de segunda voz no deserto.
O universal e o local para mim são duas faces da moeda, sem a qual um talento ou valor monetário não pode chegar ao seu mercado, ou missão. O universal torna você livre, enquanto o local às vezes endurece suas visões.
Entretanto, compartilho da opinião de que a troca de culturas e realidades históricas é a riqueza e a necessidade da humanidade. Você não pode simplesmente terminar de fumar um cigarro e nem morrer, disse uma vez um ganhador do Nobel russo.
Quanto à minha identidade literária e albanesa nacional, está se tornou uma tradição literária e uma consciência elevada, mas na verdade gosto de ser um “peixe’’ do mar e não do pântano, não de nenhum superego expresso e sinto que a luz quando é chamada assim, não deve interromper a jornada em direção àqueles espaços celestiais.
O sacrifício pelo gueto às vezes alimenta apenas mitos e sombras de valores, enquanto servir significa reinar em outros espaços espirituais, culturais e literários…
Não estou dizendo que sou um detector de eventos e histórias dentro da minha nação, mas meus escritos se assemelham a uma grande verdade, onde revelam realidades históricas vivenciadas pelos olhos e corações de muitas pessoas e do mundo exterior. Não há glorificações de “melodias enganosas”, mas drama e emoção no início do novo milênio.
7- Qual a simbologia da “fornalha” no contexto humano e social?
VC-Esse simbolismo literário tem muitas visões, mas a mensagem principal é o fogo catártico para uma nação desprezada há séculos. É a guerra de Davi com Golias e o espírito, assim como, os altos ideais de uma pequena nação que nunca se rende ao mal.
O forno é o estado em que o fogo queima e tenta sem poder extinguir o ser e as visões de uma nação e do indivíduo.
Este forno de martírio babilônico e bíblico, é um sino para os ouvidos dos outros de que as nações não devem ser pisoteadas, mas devem ter uma grande chance de liberdade e integração.
Nenhuma dança mortal serve ao mundo sem a melodia da paz. Se voltarmos ao passado em nossa memória, entenderemos que o mundo inteiro é irmão e irmã no Jardim do Éden.
Nós, como criaturas, não devemos nos tornar uma fornalha do Holocausto que destrói, mas, um caminho que se abre para a liberdade e a humanidade, como os rios que unem as margens. Quem tem coração pode experimentar ambos…
8 – Qual é, hoje, o papel da literatura kosovar diante das crises do mundo?
VC – Na minha opinião, a literatura do Kosovo é substancial porque nasce de dramas, eventos dolorosos, grandes inspirações e do desejo de uma vida integrada, bem como da sede de transcender sua cultura ancestral, ou melhor, europeia.
A literatura albanesa do Kosovo precisa de abertura, de contato com a literatura mundial como uma espécie de catapulta cultural, para projetar novos valores além das fronteiras nacionais.
A guetização da literatura é inimiga dos escritores. Os apelos poéticos e literários não devem ser limitados, assim como o espírito e a liberdade.
A grande oportunidade de abertura literária e a influência dessa literatura no mundo estão batendo à nossa porta. Traduzir essa literatura para outros idiomas abriria novos caminhos para uma parceria literária.
A barreira linguística deve ser eliminada por outros meios para que se alcancem os prazeres da ascensão, como diria Márquez.
9 – Que impacto espera causar nos leitores?
VC- O bom semeador não reclama nem na terra nem no céu. Seu objetivo é plantar sementes literárias. Quanto ao nível nacional, acredito que criei um nome na literatura, mas ficaria feliz se a literatura brasileira e a de outras nações me acolhessem como um filho perdido no tempo.
Somente a alma que sente e a luz não pedem permissão para suas viagens. Eles não têm começo nem fim. Tal catapulta me ajudaria a expressar meus valores literários que ficam sentados e esperam sedentos no portão do céu.
10 – Deixe uma mensagem para os escritores brasileiro.
VC-O Brasil é uma grande nação e possui herança literária ao nível mundial. Seu modelo literário tem em si espiritismo, drama, valor e progresso. Este grande atlas da cultura mundial servir-nos-ia como pequenos povos para nos elevar a dimensões superiores.
O universal é o meu sangramento cultural, embora o nacional muitas vezes saiba como nos endurecer.
Desejo que esta minha entrevista seja uma janela para mim e uma ponte literária entre estes dois povos. Um sorriso cheio de graça da alma pode mudar a vida de uma pessoa, disse Madre Teresa certa vez.

Sobre o entrevistado
Vilson Culaj nasceu em 6 de agosto de 1973, em Klinë, Kosovo. Concluiu o ensino fundamental e médio em sua cidade natal e graduou-se em Direito pela Universidade de Pristina, onde também realizou estudos de pós-graduação em Relações Internacionais e Diplomacia.
Iniciou sua trajetória literária ainda no ensino médio, colaborando com diversos jornais e revistas culturais e literárias do Kosovo, do Montenegro e da Albânia. Atua nos gêneros de ensaio, poesia, prosa e crítica literária, destacando-se pela profundidade filosófica e psicológica de seus textos.
Desde a década de 1990, participa ativamente da vida cultural e literária em Kosovo e em outros países, integrando inúmeros encontros, festivais e manifestações literárias, nos quais recebeu importantes prêmios e reconhecimentos, incluindo distinções por prosa e poesia. Entre os principais prêmios, destacam-se: Prozador do Ano (2016), Prêmio de Carreira (2019), 1º Prêmio de Poesia do Albanian Talent Show (2021), 1º lugar no concurso “Ora e Tahir Deskut” (2021) pelo romance Amor Intocado, e o Prêmio NDRE MJEDA (2023), em Tirana, pela melhor prosa.
Profissionalmente, atuou como jornalista no Tribunal Municipal de Klinë, foi professor do ensino fundamental e atualmente exerce a função de secretário escolar. É colaborador ativo da revista literária Mirdita e suas obras constam em antologias e diversas publicações. Seus livros têm sido amplamente estudados e analisados por críticos literários de renome.
