Nesta terceira década (2025), do século XXI: é tempo de reflexão, de análises desapaixonadas e de perdão; é tempo da família portuguesa estar unida, comungando dos valores que irradiam dos três grandes pilares da civilização ocidental, onde nos integramos: Democracia, Direito e Cristianismo, e não temos que nos envergonhar destes grandes, quanto importantes valores; é tempo de mostrarmos a nossa grandeza histórica, cultural, linguística e civilizacional, sem cairmos em nenhuma espécie de etnocentrismo, muito menos na xenofobia que dilacera muitos povos. Somos Humanistas e Fraternos, sem dúvida alguma.
É sabido que a família portuguesa também enfrentou graves e complexos problemas: desemprego, ainda muito elevado; cerca de vinte por cento das crianças no limiar da pobreza; idosos, reformados e pensionistas que, no passado recente, tiveram cortes substanciais e injustos nos seus rendimentos; funcionários públicos com carreiras profissionais bloqueadas e cortes salariais significativos e muitos daqueles trabalhadores do Estado a caminho do desemprego; professores sem perspetivas de colocação e estabilidade; educação, formação e saúde com reduções elevadas nos respetivos orçamentos; trabalhadores do setor privado com os empregos instáveis e precários; aumentos brutais nos impostos e, finalmente, a fome que atinge milhares de pessoas.
Mas, os Portugueses, sempre têm conseguido “dar a volta por cima” e, neste Natal de 2025: a situação económico-financeira melhorou substancialmente; o desemprego diminui significativamente; salários, pensões e reformas, estão a ser repostos e com os aumentos possíveis, designadamente o salário mínimo nacional; o índice de otimismo e confiança deste povo maravilhoso, tem vindo a atingir valores há muito desejados. Claro que há muito, mesmo muito, por fazer.
Certamente que os vários especialistas, nas diversas matérias e setores da economia e do sistema financeiro, muito mais teriam a escrever e com total e rigoroso conhecimento, mas basta-nos a informação que todos os dias é veiculada e debatida pelos diferentes órgãos da comunicação social, assim como por instituições credíveis, estudos científicos e estatísticas, para reconhecermos que a situação portuguesa foi preocupante e, por isso mesmo, este ainda não será o Natal que os portugueses desejam e merecem ter.
Aproveito esta oportunidade para: primeiro, pedir desculpa por algum erro que, involuntariamente, tenha cometido e, com ele, magoado alguém; depois para desejar um Santo e Feliz Natal, com verdade, com lealdade, com gratidão, seja no seio da família, seja com outras pessoas, com aquela amizade de um sincero «Amor Humanista», com um sentimento de tolerância, de perdão e muito reconhecimento pelo que me tem ajudado, ao longo da minha vida, compreendendo-me e nunca me abandonando. É este Natal, praticamente simbólico, que eu desejo festejar com a alegria possível, pesem embora as atuais restrições e condicionalismos, impostos por um conjunto de situações cruéis, que atiram cada vez mais pessoas para a miséria, fome e morte.
Finalmente, de forma totalmente pessoal, sincera e muito sentida, desejo a todas as pessoas que, verdadeiramente, com solidariedade, amizade, lealdade e cumplicidade, me têm acompanhado, através dos meus escritos, um próspero Ano Novo e que 2025 e, desejavelmente, as muitas dezenas de anos que se seguirem, lhes proporcionem o que de melhor possa existir na vida, que na minha perspetiva são: Saúde, Trabalho, Amizade/Amor, Felicidade, Justiça, Paz e a Graça Divina. A todas estas pessoas aqui fica, publicamente e sem reservas, a minha imensa GRATIDÃO.
