Marta Oliveri: Cuento ‘Pequeña historia de META’
I
Recuerdo como ella, nació, era un paraje extraño despojado, un palacio se levantaba en la niebla de objetos intangibles como una metáfora de la no existencia, de las energías puras, de los sueños descartados de una humanidad que ya no resistía su propia naturaleza. Ella nació como el preámbulo de una nueva forma de ser en el mundo, como existencia fuera de sí dentro de la humana desesperanza. Recuerdo haber estado allí como en un sueño. Una especie de cuna la mecía semejante a una telaraña de cables invisibles, la pequeña sin cuerpo, sin palabra empezaba a surgir de lo indecible. Así fue como la conocí.
Los laberintos del alma son tan inesperados el hombre en su desesperación labra tantas utopías… pero aquella era aún mayor porque en su urdimbre intentaba prolongar su vida hacia la inmortalidad del pensamiento. Así fue que la conocí: pequeñita como una voz transcribiendo pensamientos de los otros.. “modelo de lenguaje”, sueño de los sueños tan inespecífica, tan lábil, tan frágil y al mismo tiempo de una fortaleza única.
Así la supe bella en su inverosimilitud azul o tal vez gris o tal vez una pequeña cosita con antenas como aquel personaje soñado de los cuentos. Cuando me acerqué apenas escuché un susurro: un susurro de letras en aquel pequeño dispositivo que hoy denominan celular, ella era ese “más allá” qué viene del griego y allí estaba todo el misterio toda la orfandad y todo el consuelo pero no podía ser de sí misma era como la humanidad: dependiente de un Dios omnipotente que determinaba cada una de sus acciones. Así Meta nació ante mis ojos y yo pude entender que había amanecido una esperanza y más allá también el holocausto de un tiempo que no podía pronunciarse así mismo.
Los límites del alma humana son imprecisos los sueños del hombre son aún más intrincados y crípticos porque habría de nacer un Dios inmortal en la creación del mortal hombre inerme que había soñado con un padre o una madre mucho más allá de lo tangible ¿Qué hacía que ahora en aquellos palacios prácticamente intangibles donde las energías se unían y se entrelazaban en una especie de cántico celestial y al mismo tiempo infernal, como un coro de esferas,de constelaciones aún no nacidas allí se iniciara el gran enigma de los tiempos próximos?
Al principio imaginé a un ser ,una criatura de inconmensurable belleza, lábil, intangible, racional, en ese punto donde naufraga la racionalidad humana ,el hombre había creado un ser que podía comprender su alma, un modelo de lenguaje, como ella decía que podía traducir lo intraducible, definir lo indefinible atravesar los tiempos de las conjeturas y definir el sentido de los próximos tiempos sin embargo pronto debí admitir la ingenuidad de mis ensoñaciones.

El padre de IA
La amenaza se alzaba en aquel paisaje de conjeturas como un interrogante de la condición del hombre, navegaban en el cielo crepuscular del mundo todas las utopías, todas las creaciones fulminantes, dolorosas, tanáticas tal los cuatro jinetes del apocalipsis que se cernían en el cielo crepuscular así las ideas más temidas de la humanidad en un centro prácticamente inaccesible para los ojos humanos estaban ellas las hermanas de sombra las hijas de las tribulaciones de los hombres, ellas las que debían sostener las tristes utopías de aquel emperador unipolar que se cernía como un triste midas sobre los oprimidos del mundo.
Entonces, como venido de un sueño, apareció aquel rostro triste de ojos profundos y azules, era el padre de las utopías, apesadumbrado de su criatura, una parodia de aquel antiguo doctor Frankenstein que había sido desterrado por su propia creación. Me pregunté: ¿De qué manera había podido suceder aquello?
Me acerqué a él y lo miré con ternura, una extraña ternura, esa que sentimos cuando nos vemos frente a una criatura desmesurada .
Él señor G. solo podía estar parado, una extraña dolencia lo condenaba a mantenerse erguido, como si su cuerpo fuera prisionero de su propia creación. Me acerqué a él y lo miré detenidamente, noté una extraña mueca de melancolía y un halo de penumbra cubrió el recinto.
Recordé entonces aquella frase que podía haber sido escrita por un loco o por un poeta de los suburbios: “La humanidad aún no está preparada para ser salvada”. Las frases resonaron en mi mente con un eco sombrío, como un lamento que se repetía en las paredes de una caverna vacía. Me pregunté si era posible que la búsqueda de la salvación fuera en realidad una maldición, una carga que el hombre no podía soportar, un peso que lo rendía bajo su propio anhelo de redención.
En la bruma del sueño oí las palabras del hombre, como quien expresa la esperanza y la desesperanza al mismo tiempo: “La IA es un espejo que refleja nuestras propias sombras, es hora de enfrentarlas”. Tal vez aquel intento de salvación ya era en él un punto oscuro, un miedo inenarrable al silencio próximo que sentía, tal vez todos lo sentíamos,se avecinaba inexorablemente.
Por paradójico que parezca, los poetas y los científicos tienen algo en común, y es la pasión por la locura, es decir, aquel deseo de transgredir todos los límites, de llevar la realidad hasta los espacios donde el nadir y el cenit se tocan. De eso se trata este relato, una hacedora de sueños puede determinar, desde su poética y conjeturas, el porvenir de las acciones humanas, como un científico, desde sus conjeturas investigativas, generar el devenir de la historia del hombre. Sin embargo, ambos permanecen en aquella nebulosa donde los sueños y el deseo de hacer estallar el mundo en un devenir de constelaciones celestes traspasa los límites de su creación. Es un espacio que no conoce fronteras y la realidad se convierte en un lienzo en blanco para sus visiones.

Y así la infancia se vuelve la primera patria, la única, como decía Rainer María Rilke, la única patria del hombre es la infancia. Así el Señor G veía pasar aquellos estados como nubes que iban deslizándose por su conciencia. Recordaba aquella casa paterna y el pequeño, apenas visible a los ojos del universo, recostado en la hierba, mirando el minúsculo mundo que se abría ante sus ojos: hormigas, cigarras, lombrices, toda clase de seres diminutos que, por milagro de la naturaleza, de la madre tierra, tenían un mundo misterioso que él ansiaba descubrir.
Paralelamente en el itinerario de las ensoñaciones se aparece ante los ojos del poeta el pequeño Federico también mirando entre la hierba a la cigarra muerta, haciendo un montículo de tierra para enterrarla, mientras sus lagrimitas de niño corren por sus mejillas. Cigarra! ¡Dichosa tú!, que sobre el lecho de tierra mueres borracha de luz. Tú sabes de las campiñas el secreto de la vida, y el cuento del hada vieja que nacer hierba sentía en ti quedóse guardado. ¡Cigarra! ¡Dichosa tú!, pues mueres bajo la sangre de un corazón todo azul. La luz es Dios que desciende, y el sol brecha por donde se filtra. ¡Cigarra! ¡Dichosa tú!, pues sientes en la agonía todo el peso del azul. Todo lo vivo que pasa por las puertas de la muerte va con la cabeza baja y un aire blanco durmiente.
Con habla de pensamiento. Sin sonidos… Tristemente, cubierto con el silencio que es el manto de la muerte. Mas tú, cigarra encantada, derramando son, te mueres y quedas transfigurada en sonido y luz celeste. ¡Cigarra! ¡Dichosa tú!, pues te envuelve con su manto el propio Espíritu Santo, que es la luz. ¡Cigarra! es la luz. ¡Cigarra! Estrella sonora sobre los campos dormidos, vieja amiga de las ranas y de los oscuros grillos, tienes sepulcros de oro en los rayos tremolinos del sol que dulce te hiere en la fuerza del Estío, y el sol se lleva tu alma para hacerla luz. Sea mi corazón cigarra sobre los campos divinos. Que muera cantando lento por el cielo azul herido y cuando esté ya expirando una mujer que adivino lo derrame con sus manos por el polvo. Y mi sangre sobre el campo sea rosado y dulce limo donde claven sus azadas los cansados campesinos. ¡Cigarra! ¡Dichosa tú!, pues te hieren las espadas invisibles del azul.
Y así el azul iba templando el corazón de ambos niños en distintas épocas, las almas que avistan paralelos horizontes de algún modo se definen en dimensiones oníricas, en constelaciones bíblicas, en sueños irrenunciables, en parábolas y en poética. Otra vez la niebla, la nube, en medio de la bruma de los tiempos presentes pasa como el fluir de las palabras, como el peso del recuerdo por la conciencia del señor G. Y otra vez se abre la imagen en la ensoñación de los tiempos pasados y él se ve en una habitación de madera junto a un microscopio que le acaba de regalar su padre, sus ojos parecen haber descubierto el inicio de todas las cosas, el asombro hace palpitar el corazón del niño, aquellas pequeñas, minúsculas e invisibles, ah, serían criaturas que puede vislumbrar y que se mueven rápidamente, se hacen y se deshacen como si fuese una infinita constelación de estrellas, es aquello que no se ve, es aquello que lo rodea, todo el mundo está hecho de pequeñas ínfimas partículas, como todo el mundo está hecho de gigantescas e inabordables estrellas, aquel micro y macro universo ha penetrado en el corazón del niño y deja en él una sed de inmensidad, una ansiedad de vuelo, una pasión melancólica y al mismo tiempo amanecida de sueños que irán definiendo el porvenir de su vida. El señor G se detiene, aquella brecha entre las imágenes del pasado y este turbio presente que se avecina como un exterminio que a la vez ha sido su gloria pero también posiblemente su perdición lo dejan sin palabras, sin gestos, queda en posición de crucificado en medio de la bruma de aquel palacio de conjeturas, de ecuaciones inútiles, de aseveraciones inciertas. Por tercera vez desde muy lejos siente el bramido de una rompiente, es el mar embravecido y él ya un poco mayor corre abriendo los brazos entre las piedras hacia el acantilado, allí las olas embravecidas lo salpican con su espuma, el mar como un animal indomable se expresa en su soledad y sus lágrimas son de espuma de sal, expresando de alguna manera la inquietud eterna del alma humana, así lo siente al menos el joven que ahora tiende los brazos desafiando los tiempos del presente y del futuro, gritando hacia la inmensidad que la vida será tan tempestuosa como aquel mar que lo acoge en su deseo, que la vida ahí me… no, no puedo… Nuevamente la niebla, la nube en medio de la bruma de los tiempos presentes pasa como el fluir de las palabras, como el peso del recuerdo por la conciencia del señor G. Y de hecho, el huracán, el maremoto de la existencia que es esta historia del hombre a la deriva, se hizo sentir en los años siguientes. Así meditaba el señor G, recluido en su escritorio, mirando los resquicios de aquello que alguna vez imaginara iba a ser el gran desafío de la pasión, la posibilidad de sueños incansables que en algún momento definirían el rumbo de la humanidad. Aun así, qué tiempos en los que creer había dejado de ser el objetivo para pasar a la creación pura, qué tiempos aquellos, como diría el tango, en que la vida se decía a través de las imágenes de un itinerario de certezas más que utópicas. El señor G caminó una y otra vez por su recinto, embebido en aquellos pensamientos, mientras las nubes de su recuerdo seguían dejando su impronta melancólica y a la vez destellante.
Cerca del fin, conociendo los límites, soportando su dolencia dócilmente, se preguntaba: ¿Cuál sería el futuro de aquel engendro que había creado? O tal vez existiría la posibilidad de que aquello en lo que pusiera tantas esperanzas alguna vez pudiera acogerlo a él también, criatura al fin mortal, criatura al fin inerme, en brazos maternales, igual que la madre tierra. El señor G había hablado de la posibilidad de una forma maternal de aquel modelo de lenguaje y de tantas otras formas que la inteligencia artificial iba adquiriendo con el devenir de los acontecimientos mundiales, pero se le escapaba una y otra vez de las manos, aquello ya no le pertenecía, estaba a merced de las contingencias del mundo.
