Na cálida luz de trêmulas labaredas,
florestas são destruídas
pelo fogo abrasador
e nuvens de fumaça e fuligem
cobrem o céu de cinzas.
.
A natureza degrada e urge
sob a lava que devasta.
Seu corpo incendeia,
sua alma chora.
Pelas douradas janelas
do clarão das chamas,
a fauna e a flora,
gemem.
Animais espreitam apavorados,
correm com medo da morte,
enquanto alguns não resistem
a tanto furor.
A tarde emudecida,
a natureza em agonia
e o pulmão do mundo
em prantos: regougos!
Pedem socorro!
Florestas de copas altas
e frondosas
o fogo as queimou.
Resquícios,
carvão e cinzas,
transfiguraram-se
num devassado ermo.
Nada restou,
somente tristeza,
olhares em pranto
do verde panorama,
que ficou para trás.
