No peito humano, arde a chama inquieta,
As beligerâncias são relâmpagos tardios,
Mas a paz, conforme nascente pura e reta,
Há de eclodir em silêncio sobre pátios frios.
Erguem-se muros alicerçados na vaidade,
Estrugem mísseis como trovões sem lume;
Porém, a paz, com sua alvinitente claridade,
Tece límpidos horizontes no tear do costume.
É a ponte que transpassa os vendavais,
O cântico que o desamor não alcança,
O fruto que amadurece lá nos quintais
da esperança, na qual o futuro balança.
Ó venturosa aurora, eterna e sem fronteira,
flor plácida e impoluta, acima da destruição,
seja nesse mundo insosso a seiva verdadeira,
raízes rijas e porfiosas na alma e no coração.
* 2º lugar no Concurso Maria Firmina dos Reis 2025, tema ‘A Paz’,
