Bruno é um jovem escritor moçambicano, cujos textos são forjados pelo olhar crítico de seu país e dos sentimentos humanos!
Bruno Marquês Areno, 25, natural de Nampula, Moçambique, cresceu entre Namapa e Pemba, experiências que moldaram o seu olhar crítico sobre a diversidade cultural do norte do país.
Estreou na literatura em 2022 com fotografias feitas à Letras, tornando-se o primeiro estudante da Universidade Rovuma a publicar um livro.
É autor de ‘Diário de um Inútil’ e coautor de diversas antologias nacionais e internacionais.
Publica artigos, resenhas e textos literários em revistas e jornais culturais, com destaque para o Clube de Leitura Olhar Literário. Atua também como tradutor literário para a língua emakhuwa.
Fundador do Clube de Leitura Olhar Literário e co-fundador do Grupo de Escritores de Nampula, desenvolve trabalho ativo de promoção da leitura.
Recebeu o título de Doutor Honoris Causa e é Embaixador Cultural Brasil–África pela Academia de Letras de São Pedro da Aldeia – ALSPA.
Bruno inicia sua jornada ROLiana com o texto A guerra e o riso, um conto sensibilíssimo sobre a insanidade das guerras, geradas muito mais por um grupo de políticos e militares do alto escalão, do que pelos soldados, doutrinados a odiar àqueles que não conhecem e contra os quais não têm motivo para odiar.
A guerra e o riso
O galo despertou, mas não cantou, talvez tivesse esquecido a melodia, ou talvez apenas não visse motivo para anunciar o dia, e o sol, que de costume se apressa a rasgar o horizonte, nasceu também, é verdade, mas recusou-se a brilhar, como quem, de olhos ainda entreabertos, desconfia do que vai encontrar. Não havia nuvens no céu, tampouco vento, e o ar, imóvel, parecia suspenso entre o que foi e o que viria a ser, como se o próprio mundo hesitasse diante daquilo que os homens chamam de dever.
E foi nesse cenário sem cor, nesse silêncio espesso, que dois jovens soldados se levantaram. De batalhões diferentes, de pátrias inimigas, mas de idades tão próximas que poderiam ter partilhado o mesmo berço se o acaso fosse menos cruel, levantaram-se sem saber por quê, porque o comando, esse verbo de ferro, não se discute, apenas se cumpre, e quem o inventou sabia que o medo obedece melhor do que a razão.
Ergueram as armas, que são o prolongamento da vontade alheia, e marcharam, um na direcção do outro, como se o chão, cansado de tanta marcha, já soubesse de antemão que o peso que o pisa logo se deitaria sobre ele. Nunca se viram, nunca partilharam o pão, nunca beberam da mesma água, e, no entanto, iam tirar um ao outro a vida, não por rancor, mas por obediência, o que talvez seja uma forma mais triste de matar.
E havia, por trás deles, dois velhos, não importa seus nomes, pois são sempre os mesmos, dois velhos que se conhecem, se odeiam, e por isso mandam meninos morrerem no lugar de suas mãos trêmulas e suas consciências gastas, dois velhos que se detestam mas que nunca se matam, porque o ódio dos poderosos é covarde, precisa de intermediários.
O primeiro tiro partiu, atravessou o ar e acertou um dos rapazes, e o som, pequeno, perdeu-se logo, como se o próprio eco tivesse vergonha. O segundo tiro veio em seguida, resposta sem pensamento, e o outro caiu também, de cócoras, olhando o chão húmido como quem pede explicação à terra. Ficaram assim, frente a frente, dois corpos ainda quentes, dois corações diminuindo de ritmo, dois olhares que, mesmo na morte, procuravam entender o motivo do que haviam feito.
Clamaram por ódio, e o ódio não veio, chamaram pela raiva, e a raiva não respondeu, restou-lhes apenas o espanto, o espanto de perceberem que não eram inimigos, que nunca tinham sido, e que apenas obedeciam ao mesmo medo, à mesma voz que sopra ordens e apaga nomes.
O primeiro que atirou, se é que isso importa, esboçou um riso, um riso leve, torto, quase uma desculpa, e o outro, antes que o escuro o tomasse por inteiro, devolveu-lhe o riso, e assim ficaram, dois meninos sorrindo no campo de guerra, dois homens que só se reconheceram quando já não havia mais tempo para se apresentarem.
Depois disso o vento voltou, tímido, como quem pede licença para existir, e o sol, talvez envergonhado, decidiu iluminar o que restava. A terra, fiel como sempre, recebeu o sangue dos dois sem distinção, misturando-o num só vermelho, porque a terra, ao contrário dos homens, não tem bandeira.
