Pesquisadores Ana Paula Sallum Nicoletti e Carlos Carvalho Cavalheiro participam de manifestação em prol do Rio Sorocaba
Os pesquisadores do Observatório do Desenvolvimento da Região Metropolitana de Sorocaba, Ana Paula Sallum Nicoletti e Carlos Carvalho Cavalheiro, participaram de uma manifestação popular contra a construção da marginal direita do Rio Sorocaba. O protesto foi realizado por diversas organizações como a Justiça Climática no último domingo, dia 23.
Ana Paula Sallum Nicoletti estuda a propaganda governamental e de educação ambiental como comunicação sobre o rio Sorocaba. Carlos Carvalho Cavalheiro estuda a relação dos pescadores de área urbana com o rio Sorocaba, considerando uma comunicação rebelde de resistência cultural.
Portanto, para ambos os pesquisadores, a preservação do rio Sorocaba é de suma importância e tem relação direta com as suas pesquisas. Os pesquisadores estão inseridos no Programa de Pós-graduação em Comunicação e Cultura da Uniso (Universidade de Sorocaba). Ana é mestranda e orientada pela professora Dra. Thifani Postali. Carlos é doutorando e orientado pelo professor Dr. Paulo Celso da Silva.
A proposta de abertura de uma marginal direita atinge diretamente uma área de mata ciliar com uma rica biodiversidade. Além disso, a impermeabilização do solo tenderá a aumentar os problemas com as enchentes. Por isso, os pesquisadores do Observatório se preocupam com essas consequências.
Além de participarem da manifestação, os pesquisadores registraram por fotos e observações o evento.
