Arwa Ben Dhia: Poem ‘Fallen Gods’
No matter what they tell you,
You are capable of much more
Than you think you are.
Indeed, you are fallen Gods.
There is much more in you,
You, with your weaknesses and volatility,
Than in Gods stayed in their Olympus.
The latter, with their dullness and eternity,
Truly envy your frailty and mortality.
Tell yourselves more of your Divine nature,
Repeat it again and again till conviction,
Because there are no more powerful words,
Than those you utter to speak to yourselves.
Then, strive to be worth Gods.
Despite your earthly condition,
Make your Earth an Olympus!
What do Gods do?
They create in silence.
Create a better self.
Create a better future.
Create a better Life.
And wherever you go,
Spread Beauty!
Because Beauty is the reflection of divinity.

Natural de Túnis, Tunísia, e atualmente residindo em Paris, França, é doutora em eletrônica e engenheira de patentes. Na área literária, é poeta multilíngue, tradutora, autora e escritora de prefácios para diversas coletâneas de poesia. Sua coletânea ‘Silence Orange’, publicada em março de 2023 pela editora Mindset, foi agraciada com o Prêmio Internacional de Poesia e Arte de 2024 pela associação SIÉFÉGP. Sua coletânea ‘Les quatre et une saisons, em parceria pelas editoras Éditions du Cygne, na França, e Éditions Arabesques, na Tunísia, recebeu o Diploma de Honra de 2024 da Société des Poètes Français (SPF), bem como o Prêmio Literário Dina Sahyouni de 2025. Arwa participa regularmente de festivais e eventos literários e tem seus trabalhos publicados em diversas revistas e antologias de poesia. Ela editou a antologia ‘Nos muses les murs’ (Nossas Musas, as Paredes, publicada em 2025 pela Mindset (também disponível em Braille). É Embaixadora da Paz pelo Círculo Universal de Embaixadores da Paz (CUAP) e recebeu o Prêmio Francofonia da Sociedade de Autores e Poetas da Francofonia (SAPF). Arwa é membro de diversas associações culturais, incluindo a Société des Gens de Lettres (SGDL), Apulivre e Coup De Soleil.
