Sorocaba inaugura mural acessível no Dia Mundial da Poesia
No dia 21 de março de 2026, data em que se celebra o Dia Mundial da Poesia, a escritora, poeta e artista visual Cristina Siqueira realiza, no Parque Campolim, em Sorocaba, o descerramento do mural ‘Livro de Rua para Cego Ler‘, obra literária urbana concebida com recursos de acessibilidade para pessoas com deficiência visual.
Instalado em área de grande circulação do parque, o mural — uma instalação poética literária em azulejaria impressa — integra o Projeto Livro de Rua, criado por Cristina Siqueira em 1997, que propõe a inserção da poesia no espaço urbano por meio de murais literários.
Nesta edição, a obra incorpora leitura em braille, relevo tátil e audiodescrição, permitindo que a experiência poética seja acessada também pelo toque e pela escuta, ampliando o acesso à literatura e à arte para pessoas com deficiência visual.
O projeto foi contemplado pela Lei Aldir Blanc de Incentivo à Cultura e conta com o apoio da Prefeitura Municipal de Sorocaba, reafirmando o compromisso das políticas públicas com a democratização do acesso à cultura e com a promoção da inclusão.
Com a instalação da obra, Sorocaba passa a integrar um movimento contemporâneo de arte pública acessível, em que literatura, espaço urbano e cidadania se encontram para ampliar o alcance da poesia na vida cotidiana.

O evento contará com a presença de autoridades, representantes do setor cultural e educacional, além de instituições voltadas à pessoa com deficiência visual.

Sobre a autora
Cristina Siqueira é escritora, poeta e artista visual com trajetória consolidada na literatura e nas artes urbanas.
Autora de oito livros publicados, desenvolve há três décadas o Projeto Livro de Rua, responsável pela criação de murais poéticos instalados em espaços públicos.
Sua obra articula literatura, artes visuais e intervenção urbana, aproximando poesia e cidade e estimulando novas formas de fruição da palavra poética no cotidiano.
Cristina é Membro Correspondente da Academia Sorocabana de Letras e tem atuação reconhecida em projetos culturais voltados à formação de leitores, difusão da poesia e valorização do patrimônio literário.
